TEACHERScone is where teachers, tutors, trainers and coaches publish a professional profile, run their own eLearning portal and advertise their services. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1.Who is responsible for your data
TEACHERScone ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We operate from the United Kingdom and handle personal data in line with UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
This policy covers the TEACHERScone website and the accounts created on it. It does not cover third-party services we link to, such as the advertising platforms we prepare campaigns for.
2.What information we collect
We only collect what the service actually needs to work:
- Account information — your email address, a hashed password (never a readable one), your name or business name, and the role you choose: instructor, parent/learner, employer or training provider.
- Profile information you add — headline, biography, disciplines, qualifications, rates, location, delivery methods, links and your profile photo.
- Teaching content — the portals, courses, lessons, uploaded files and quiz material you create, plus the template and colour panel you pick.
- Payment information — the plan you choose, your billing country and currency preference, and your billing history. Card numbers are collected and processed by our payment provider, Stripe; we never see or store full card details.
- Advertising information — the campaign briefs, audiences, budgets and ad copy you or our AI produce.
- Technical information — sign-in session data held in your browser, and basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, timestamps) used to keep the service running and secure.
3.How we use your information
We use your information to:
- create and secure your account, and show your profile and portal to learners and employers who search;
- generate lesson plans, course outlines, quiz questions and ad copy when you ask the AI to;
- process payments, apply your plan's limits, and send service emails such as receipts and plan-change confirmations;
- prepare, price and submit advertising campaigns you ask us to run;
- keep the service safe by detecting abuse, spam, impersonation and fraudulent payments;
- improve the product using aggregate statistics that do not identify you.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your teaching content to train third-party AI models.
4.The legal basis we rely on
- Contract — running your account, profile, portal, payments and campaigns.
- Consent — optional marketing emails and any non-essential cookies.
- Legitimate interests — security, fraud prevention and improving the service.
- Legal obligation — tax, accounting and lawful requests.
5.Your profile is public — please read this
Your name or business name, headline, photo, disciplines, rates and listed services are shown in instructor search and on your public profile to anyone, including people without a TEACHERScone account.
Choose what you publish carefully. Avoid your home address, a personal phone number, or anything you would not want indexed or shared. You can unpublish your profile at any time from My profile; that removes it from search, though it cannot undo copies people have already viewed.
6.AI-generated content
When you press "generate", the prompt and context you supply are sent to our AI provider so it can write a draft lesson, course outline, quiz bank or ad. The provider processes that input under confidentiality terms, is not permitted to train its models on your material, and is asked to discard it after returning the response.
AI output is a draft, not a finished product. Always review it before publishing to learners or running it as an advert.
7.Who we share information with
We share the minimum each supplier needs, under written terms:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- Our AI provider — generating the content you request.
- Advertising platforms — Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok, when we prepare or submit a campaign you asked for.
- Hosting, database and email suppliers — running and securing the service.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect the rights, safety and property of TEACHERScone, our users or the public.
8.Cookies and browser storage
We store a sign-in token in your browser so you stay logged in between visits. That storage is essential to signing in and cannot be switched off while you use an account.
We do not place advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this site. If we ever add analytics, we will tell you and ask for your consent first.
9.International transfers
Some of our suppliers process data outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations, or on the International Data Transfer Agreement and its UK Addendum, alongside technical safeguards such as encryption in transit.
10.How long we keep information
We keep account and profile data while your account is open. Billing records are kept for seven years to meet tax and accounting rules. AI-generated drafts are stored only so you can see your own history.
When you delete your account, your published profile, portal and uploads are removed within 30 days. Residual copies in encrypted backups expire on their own schedule.
11.Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your personal data, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. You can withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis for processing.
Email support@teacherscone.app from your registered address and we will respond within one month. We may need to verify your identity first. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
12.How we protect information
Access to production systems is limited to people who need it. Uploaded files sit in private storage that only the owner can read, and pages are served over encrypted connections. Sign-in uses short-lived tokens and passwords are hashed.
No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and sign out on shared devices.
13.Children
TEACHERScone is built for adults aged 18 and over. Learners under 18 should use the service through a parent, guardian or educational institution. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
14.Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a revised date, and for material changes we will email you before they take effect.
